Steven El-Sharaawy opened the score sheet for the home team in the 22nd minute, following as assist from Salah, who scored the second goal from a powerful shot in the 25th minute.
Midfielder Diego Perotti then proceeded to add the third goal in 38th minute. In the 58th minute, Salah continued his tremendous form by scoring the fourth goal, while Fiorentina's single goal came from Josip Iličić in the 45th minute from a penalty kick.
