Egypt defeats Morocco in the 2016 African Men's Handball Championship
The final match was at 7pm and is cause for celebration as Egypt's team surprised the audience by defeating Morocco by quite a large margin, 31-13

The 22nd African Men's Handball Championship took place yesterday, 26 January in Cairo, at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex in which there were six matches played.
At 1pm, the Algerian national team played against Nigeria, resulting in a significant win for Algeria, with a score of 31-23. Two hours later, Gabon lost to Cameroon, 25-21.
The match between Congo and Libya at 4pm resulted in a tie of 21-21. As for the 5pm game between Tunisia and Angola, the former defeated Angola by 2 points, with a final score of 23-21. Later, at the 6pm match, DR Congo faced Kenya, resulting in a win for DR Congo, 35-30.
The final match was at 7pm and is cause for celebration as Egypt's team surprised the audience by defeating Morocco by quite a large margin, 31-13.
It is worth mentioning that the Morocco's men's handball team‘s greatest victory was achieving 17th place in the IHF World Men's Handball Championship which was hosted by France in 2001. In 2006, Morocco also won bronze at the African Men's Handball Championship, in Tunisia. Tunisia and Algeria are considered to be Egypt's strongest competition, in the men's handball arena, be it on an African or Arab stage.
Today, 27January, the quarter-finals started. The match between Angola and Morocco ended with Angola narrowly defeating Morocco, 22-21. The three Arab countries, Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia will play today against Congo, DR Congo and Cameroon, respectively. Thanks to its win over Morocco, Angola has already been selected to go on to the semi-finals taking place on 29 January.
