4 injured in front of Alexandria bank
Published in Daily News Egypt on 14 - 03 - 2015

Four were injured in an explosion Saturday in the vicinity of a bank in East Alexandria, according to Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The bank branch was damaged as a result of the attack, according to a representative from the Interior Ministry's press office.
In a separate incident, another explosion went off in Hadaek Al-Koba in Greater Cairo, where the explosion targeted a Vodafone branch – no injuries were reported, however.
In recent months, explosions have not only targeted security personnel and facilities but also telecommunication branches, power stations and banks in the wake of the Economic Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
On Friday, five minor explosions hit the Maadi neighbourhood of Cairo. Two bombs went off in the vicinity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) building, while another exploded in front of Grand Mall. Two further devices exploded in Streets 105 and 106.
On 11 March, three power stations were hit by a bomb in 10th of Ramadan City leading to a power outage in around 80% of the industrial city, according to state-run news agency MENA.
Several security experts agreed that bombings in Egypt have shifted their targets to public facilities and commercial areas, to hinder upcoming investments following the Summit.
Interior Ministry spokesman Hany Abdel Latif noted there is "a comprehensive [state-wide] security plan", not only for the Economic Summit, put into effect by the newly appointed Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.
Abdel Latif said earlier this month that escalatory attacks are expected though.
