CAIRO: Dar Al-Fouad Hospital signed a contract with Allied Information Technology Services (AITS)-Allied Soft to help the hospital go online and digitize its medical transcription and billing services.
Dar Al-Fouad, General Manager Dr Hisham El-Kholy and Allied Soft Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Reda signed the contract at the hospital s premises in Sixth of October City on Sunday.
Dar Al-Fouad is one of the country s most reputable hospitals. We re delighted to support it on the technological front, and for it to become part of our expanding client base, said Reda.
This partnership is a landmark agreement for our company to further lead the medical transcription and billing initiative across Egypt. We would like to reaffirm our commitment to offer unmatched processing services to our clients, he added.
AITS-Allied Soft, the first service provider in Egypt and the Middle East to offer health care-oriented technology services, will handle the hospital s overnight medical transcription and billing processing in line with the American Association of Medical Transcription's standards. It will also equip the hospital with advanced medical and legal transcription services, call center services, medical billing and coding, and web-enabled software solutions to manage medical records.
The business process outsourcing of medical transcription services has been growing rapidly and has great potential to flourish further, said El Kholy. As one of Egypt s top hospitals, we aspire to keep pace with worldwide developments in the medical field. Our agreement with AITS-Allied Soft is a cornerstone that will enable us to focus on offering our patients up-to-date medical services while accurately recording all our medical and billing transcriptions, he added.
AITS, which was founded with capital of $5.7 million, is a partner of Allied Soft, a member of Allied International Group. The AITS chairman is Fouad Sultan, the former minister of tourism.
