Bangkok (dpa) – Thai police impounded 73 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine left unattended at a Bangkok bus station, officers said Wednesday. Six bags of the tablets were left at the southern bus terminal late Tuesday by an unidentified couple, city police chief Lieutenant General Winai Thongsong said. Police staked out the suspicious baggage for nearly four hours but no one came to retrieve it, he said. Officers opened the bags and found 73 kilograms of the drug, also known as ice, worth an estimated 220 million baht (7.3 million dollars).
