Cairo bourse opens week in green notes gaining $349mn

Egyptian bourse opened the week with gains estimated at 3.1 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 348.9 million) on Egyptian and foreign investors buying appetite.
The market capitalisation recorded 409.695 billion pounds during the closing session of Sunday.
Indices
Egypt's benchmark index, EGX30 jumped by 0.72 percent to 7517.02 points.
The EGX50 EWI index hiked by 1.72 percent to 1464.47 points.
EGX20 increased by 1.31 percent to 7960.14 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 boosted by 1.34 percent to 379.76 points. The price index, EGX100 climbed by 1.05 percent to 802.87 points.
Turnovers down
On Sunday, the bourse's trading volume has hit 251.895 million securities, with turnovers closed at 900.816 million pounds, exchanged through 26,328 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 175 listed securities have been traded in; 30 declined, 114 advanced; while 28 kept their previous levels.
Investors' Activities
Local and non-Arab investors were net buyers on Sunday seizing 92.41 percent and 2.71 percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 15.868 million pounds and 1.624 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, the Arab investors were net sellers getting 4.89 percent of the total market, with a net equity of 17.493 million pounds, excluding the deals.
