Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in Egypt on Tuesday to participate in a ceremony for laying of the foundation stone of the fourth unit base of Egypt's Dabaa power-generating nuclear plant, Ilya Vodyanov, press-attache of the Russian Embassy in Cairo, told Amwal Al Ghad English on Sunday. "President Vladimir Putin's participation is under preparation, it is a very important ceremony and we continue to co-operate with Egyptian partners in various area," Dmitry Peskov, spokesman of the Russian president said. "Egypt is a very important partner for us, especially in this area of high-tech, which is a very important area for Egypt's development," he added. Major-General Tarek Al Mahdy told "Russia Today" that Putin's participation is significant, especially after the country has now become a member of the BRICS.
