Entebbe (Uganda) - Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry handed over a message from President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni during their meeting, on Tuesday, in Uganda's town of Entebbe, Middle East News Agency reported. The message touches on means of boosting bilateral ties between Cairo and Kampala in all domains, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement. Meanwhile, the Shoukry-Museveni meeting took up preparations for holding a Nile Basin summit at the invitation of the Ugandan president within the framework of Kampala's presidency of the Nile Basin Ministerial Council. The Egyptian top diplomat asserted Cairo's keenness to achieve a converge of views among countries of the Nile Basin initiative. The talks also tackled a set of regional issues, particularly the situation in Somalia and the Horn of Africa in general, in addition to promoting joint cooperation on combating terrorism. Meanwhile, the Ugandan president affirmed continued consultation with President El-Sisi on all issues of common interest.
