Tripoli - The Libyan National Reconciliation Government headed by ‘Fayez Al-Sarraj' denied their intention to open Libya for resettling refugees and migrants who have been expelled from Europe, reaffirming that Tripoli did not sign any memoranda with any European country for this purpose. Mr. ‘Ashraf Al-talty', the Spokesman of the Presidential Council of the National Reconciliation Government declared in a statement "the allegations of settling illegal immigrants in Libya are absolutely void and unfounded and what is rumored or reiterated in this respect is basely and is not mentioned in the memorandum sighed by the two countries neither explicitly nor implicitly. ‘Al-Talty' explained that the memorandum of understanding signed by "Fayez Al-Sarraj' the head of the Presidential Council of the National Reconciliation Government and the Italian Prime Minister ‘Paolo Gentiloni' on February 2nd, 2017, aiming at the discontinuation of the illegal immigration to emphasize the determination of the two countries to face all the odds which negatively affect the enhancement of peace, security and stability in the two country in particular and in the Mediterranean zone in general.
