Cairo - Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal praised on Wednesday the stances of Ireland towards Egypt after June 30 Revolution. During his meeting with his Irish counterpart Seán Ó Fearghaíl and his accompanying delegation, Abdel Aal stressed the importance of boosting the trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of scientific research and pharmaceutical industries. He also highlighted the strong ties binding the two countries, and urged Dublin to accelerate the pace of endorsing the air services deal, signed in 2014. Abdel Aal also encouraged and reiterated his support to form an Egyptian-Irish friendship association to boost cooperation between Cairo and Dublin. Seán Ó Fearghaíl expressed his appreciation for the warm reception he received in Egypt, and extended an invitation to his Egyptian counterpart to visit Ireland. He also stressed the importance of launching direct flights between Egypt and Ireland to boost tourism and trade cooperation.
