Cairo - Egypt's President 'Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi' received a delegation of the business council for US national Security. The meeting was attended by Investment Minister Dalia Khorsid and Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Khaled Fawzy, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said. Sisi stressed the importance of strategic relations between Egypt and the US in all fields.
Egypt is keen on reinforcing relations with the new US Administration to overcome joint challenges, the Egyptian leader said He also talked about measures taken by the Egyptian government to boost Egypt's economy and launch a comprehensive economic reform plan to attract new investments into the country. Egypt has an all-out plan to fight terrorism in Sinai and meet economic and social needs of its residents, Sisi added. He also urged an immediate settlement of the Middle East crises in a manner that maintains security and stability of the Mideast countries. The US should pay more attention to the crises in the Middle East region and step up efforts to reach a political settlement of these crises, Sisi noted.
Reaching a fair and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue will contribute to curbing clashes and turmoil in the Middle East region, Sisi concluded. The US delegation, meanwhile, praised the role played by Egypt to maintain security and stability of the Middle East region. The delegation members hailed also achievements made by the Egyptian government in the past two years, saying that they paid a visit to the Suez Canal Economic Zone to get acquainted with investment opportunities there. They praised efforts exerted to fight terrorism and extremism in Egypt.
