Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered Sunday treasury bills of EGP 20.2 billion to reduce the country's budget deficit, Youm7 News reported. The bank offered EGP 4.7 billion pounds as 91-day treasury bills, EGP 4.7 billion as 182-day bills and EGP 5.2 billion as 273-day bills, while EGP 5.5 billion were offered as 364-day bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 332 billion pounds at the current fiscal year, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids as well as treasury bills issued by CBE on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
