A case of controversy over the formation of supreme press council was witnessed Tuesday in the parliament between Parliamentarian Khaled Yousef and Minister of legal affairs Magdy El Agaty, Al-Bawaba News reported. The controversy began when Yousef asked Agaty about the government opinion on the proposal submitted by MP Mostafa Bakry and other 300 parliamentarians on the formation of supreme press council, which Agaty replied that the government has nothing to do with this proposal because it was submitted by the the members of the parliament. After that, Yousef said that the government has announced its opinion yesterday to reject proposal to cancel blasphemy punishment. For his part, the minister said that the blasphemy punishment is one of the penal code articles, which the government must submit its opinion over it.
