Free Egyptians Party (FEP) launched Friday a campaign on social network websites, mainly Facebook, calling for amending protest law, Al Bawaba News reported. We believe in freedom of opinion and expression, the party explained, pointing out that it took part in January 25 and June 30 revolutions, as it is convinced that citizens have right to hold peaceful protests, whether to support the government or to criticize it. The party pointed out that the constitution should protect the rights of citizens to be heard, calling for a law regulating protests, rather than criminalizing them and punishing demonstrators, leading to deprivation of liberty.
