Egyptian jet with 66 people on board missing
An EgyptAir plane flying from Paris to Cairo with 56 passengers and 10 crew on board has disappeared from radars, the airline has tweeted.
The Airbus A320 was flying at 37,000 feet (11,300 meters) when it went missing over the eastern Mediterranean, 10 miles into the Egyptian airspace.
An official said the plane lost contact with radar at 02:45 Cairo time (00:45 GMT).

Eritrea chases improved ties with Egypt
A high-powered delegation led by the Eritrean Presidential Adviser, Yemane Gebreab arrived at Cairo International Airport on Wednesday for a two-day visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations with Egypt.The delegation is scheduled to meet with their Egyptian counterparts to discuss the assistance Egypt provides to the Eritrean people, a statement from the Presidency in Cairo said.
On February 16, Gebreab and Eritrean Foreign Minister Osama Saleh met with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Egypt police face trial for doctors' assault
Egyptian prosecutors on Wednesday referred nine policemen to trial for allegedly using violence against two doctors at a public hospital when they refused to falsify a medical report, officials said.
January's incident in Cairo's northern district of Matareya caused a major backlash, with thousands of doctors later demonstrating outside their union headquarters in the city.
