President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi praised Tuesday the Arab-French peace initiative to solve the Palestinian Cause, Al Bawaba News reported. It came during his speech on the occasion of inaugurating a new power plant in in Asyut governorate, with a capacity of 1,000 MW. Al-Sisi added that he met with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas last week in Cairo, where they discussed ways to revive the peace process and overcome the frustration spread among the Palestinians. He highlighted the existing peace agreement between Egypt and Israel as a proof that peace can be achieved between Israel and Palestine. He stressed on the need to find a peaceful solution to the Palestinian cause in a way that ensures the establishment of an independent country of Palestinians as well as the provision of Israel's security. The president called on various Palestinian parties to unite to reach a genuine reconciliation with Israel, which would contribute to achieving security and stability to the region. Al-Sisi asserted that Egypt will continue its role in pushing peace between Palestine and Israel, and end the long conflict between them.
