Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Cairo on Monday heading to New York to head a ministerial conference in the UN Security Council to discuss the ways to combat the extremist ideas, Youm7 reported. The Egyptian official is scheduled to hold meetings with high-profile international officials during his visit, including the president of UN General Assembly. They will discuss the ways to improve the UN role to strengthen the international peace and security. The foreign minster will also meet with a number of his counterparts on the sideline of the conference to discuss the bilateral relations and the issues of common interest.
