Chairman of Press Syndicate Yehia Qalash filed Tuesday a report against the minister of interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar and the head of Cairo security directorate Khaled Abdel Aal over storming the syndicate's headquarters. Qalash's remarks came during a press conference held on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, The syndicate staged Monday a sit-in against the storming of syndicate's headquarters by security forces and the arresting of two journalists on Sunday. Shubra El-Kheima prosecution office ordered Monday detention of two journalists, Amr Badr and Mahmoud Al Sakka for 15 days in Tora prison pending investigations. Both journalists are accused of attempting to overthrow the government, changing the state's constitution and Republican system, as well as joining associations, bodies and organizations that seek to disable the provisions of the constitution and laws. The two journalists are also charged with preventing state institutions and authorities from carrying out their work, harming national unity and social peace, in addition to distributing false information likely to disturb public security.
