Central Bank of Egypt will host Sunday activities of annual meetings of Islamic Financial Services Board for 2016 at JW Marriott hotel in Cairo, Al Bawaba News reported. The bank said in a statement that it will hold a seminar on "Supporting development through deeds (sukuks): Prospects and Initiatives," which aims to provide an interactive environment that enables all the speakers and participants in the seminar to explore the role of deeds in the social and economic development. The seminar will offer different points of deeds, which is based on tax, legal and regulatory issues related to the development of deeds market, as well as the lessons learned from recent experiences. It will also shed light on the potential role of deeds in addressing the global funding gap for infrastructure, whether in developed or developing countries. Also, it will focus on the possibility of governments to use deeds market to overcome the financial obstacles and achieve greater development in the financial sector, in addition to strengthening risk management capabilities for both the private and public sectors alike.
