President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's initiative to donate EGP 1 for Egypt every morning has managed to raise EGP 2.3 million, Aswat Masriya reported Saturday. Tahya Misr Fund has received EGP 460 thousand by the end of past Friday, following President Sisi urged citizens to donate only EGP 1 (10 cents) on his speech on Wednesday, Executive Director of the fund, Mohamed Ashmawy said. The three major communication corporates have responded to Sisi's initiative and launched a hotline to receive citizens' donations on the number 1333, which go directly to Tahya Misr Fund, under the name "Say Good Morning to Egypt." Tahya Misr Fund (Long Live Egypt) was found by Sisi in 2014 to raise donations from citizens and corporates, in order to support the Egyptian economy, and improve the lives of low-income citizens.
