The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer Thursday, treasury bills of 9 billion pounds to reduce the country's budget deficit, Al-Bawaba News reported. A total of 4.250 billion pounds will be offered as 182-day treasury bills while 4.750 billion pounds as 357-day bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 240 billion pounds at the end of fiscal year 2015/2016, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids plus treasury bonds issued on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
