Egypt's parliament speaker Ali Abdel Aal dismissed Monday MP Tawfik Okasha following an internal vote allegedly because the latter's "breaching the norms of a parliament's general session". Mr. Okasha wanted to take the floor while the parliament speaker rejected his demand, triggering him to verbally attack Mr. Abdel Aal. The session was dedicated to discussing the parliament's internal statute. Large numbers of MPs gave a big hand for the speaker's decision. Mr. Okasha, who was known for comic comments on the country's political affairs, slammed Mr. Abdel Aal as "irrelevant".
