Head of National Council for Women (NCW), Mervat Al Tallawy said she received a letter from PM Sherif Ismail, assigning her to prepare for a procedural session to form a new council, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi issued a decree last Sunday to form a new council. The meeting is expected to be held on Monday afternoon, at the cabinet headquarters, downtown Cairo, to elect the council's new head and secretary general. The officials to be elected will remain in office until 2019, according to a presidential decree issued on Feb. 8, 2000.
