Armed forces killed 130 Wilayat Sinai terrorist group militants in the city of Sheikh Zuweid, northern Sinai governorate, Al Bawaba News reported Friday. Army forces stormed the villages of Al Tomh and Mokata in south of Sheikh Zuweid, since the dawn of Thursday, to establish a large army checkpoint linking the two villages in order to stifle the militants' movement. This caused the militants to come out from their hideouts in large numbers to confront the army, almost 300 militants carrying heavy weapons, guns-propelled grenades and mortar, have clashed violently with the army in Al Tomh for 12 hours. However, the army's ground forces succeeded in killing 70 militants, which pushed the other militants to flee, but the army's air force unit bombed them while fleeing, leaving another 60 militants dead, including leading member of the terrorist group, Fahd Abo Hanif.
