Al-Wafd Party will hold Sunday a board meeting at its headquarters in Dokki district, Giza, to discuss the party's stance on Coalition to Support the Egyptian State's document, Youm7 News reported. The party head will submit a report that highlights the party's performance in the parliamentary elections, to Al-Wafd's board members, during the meeting. The meeting will also tackle ways to provide the party's parliamentarians with technical support and shed light on the preparations for the upcoming local elections. Several prominent party members reject the Coalition to Support the Egyptian State's callings to sign a document, encouraging the abandonment of loyalty to parties or political ideology in favor of the interest of the country and people. Member of Al-Wafd's board, Alaa al-Washahy described the document as a setback, saying that it represents a return to the one-party policy, which fully supports the president and government without any real accountability.
