Egypt's Culture Minister, Helmy Al-Namnam inaugurated on Tuesday the Japanese fine arts fair held in Al-Jazeera arts center in Zamalek, Cairo in addition to the Chinese art fair held in Arts Palace, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. A number of Egyptian artists as well as delegations from Japan and China attended the fair. Director of the Ministry's fine arts sector, Khaled Sorour asserted that such fairs give opportunities for the Egyptian audience to know artistic and cultural trends related to countries of extended civilization and history. "No doubt, it's a real opportunity to stimulate Egyptian artists to provide similar ideas that would contribute in achieving the desired equation in utilitarian, serious and direct relationship which would blend art and society," Sorour stated.
