An improvised explosive device exploded early Wednesday near Al-Nasr mosque in the middle of North Sinai's Al-Arish city, targeting an armord vehicle deployed in the area, but no casualties were reported, Al-Bawaba News reported. Bomb disposal experts intensified their presence in the blast scene to scan the area for other potential threats. Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ousting of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
