The Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Tarek Amer elected a new board of CBE, waiting to be submitted to the Egyptian President to approve it next week, Al-Bawaba News reported Tuesday. Hisham Ramez, ex-governor of CBE, had resigned on October 21st, and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi appointed Amer as the new governor of the bank, starting from November 27th. Some bonking sources said that the new board of CBE will not witness significant changes, stressing that Amer will keep Gamal Negm in his post as deputy governor of CBE. The sources added that Negm succeeded in carrying out his responsibilities since he served as Deputy Governor of the CBE in November 2011, during the governance of Farouk Okda.
