Cypriot Minister of Energy and Industry Giorgos Lakkotrypis, accompanied by a high-profile delegation arrived Monday to Cairo in a two-day visit to look into cooperation ties in the field of energy and gas, Al-Bawaba News reported. Lakkotrypis is scheduled to meet with leading Egyptian officials in petroleum field, including the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek el Molla to discuss ways to boost cooperation ties between the two countries, sources from petroleum ministry said. The talks will tackle Egypt's potential to be a regional energy exporting center through international deals. Lakkotrypis was welcomed at the airport by the leading petroleum officials and the Cypriot Ambassador to Cairo.
