Indonesia, Egypt Agree to Cooperate in Fighting Terrorism
The governments of Indonesia and Egypt have agreed to boost cooperation to fight terrorism, especially the kind spread through internet networks.
"We will also discuss the progress of democracy and Islam as a blessing for all, as well as radicalism and terrorism," President Joko Widodo said at a press conference after meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at the Merdeka state palace on Friday evening.
The President said cooperation between the two countries would continue to be increased in various fields.

Russian, Egyptian Diplomats Note Close Approach to Mideast Developments
Russia and Egypt share similar approaches to responding to crises in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a press release Friday.
"The similarity or overlaps of Russian and Egyptian approaches to the developments in the Middle East have been acknowledged during an extensive exchange of views," the ministry said.
The remarks published on the foreign ministry's website followed Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov's meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's counselor, Nazih Naggary.

Three Egyptian Fishermen Drown in Libya
Three Egyptian fishermen have drowned in Libya's territorial water, a foreign ministry spokesperson told Aswat Masriya on Friday.
"A fishing boat that had 16 fishermen on board moved from Kafr al-Sheikh to Liyba. The fishermen were later transferred to two smaller boats owned by a Libyan. One of the boats was lost and the other drowned," Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid said.
Abu Zaid pointed it was hard to communicate with the Libyan authorities as there is no current Egyptian diplomatic representation there.
