An official in Egypt's Ministry of Environment said on Saturday his country would dismiss any proposed negotiations over terms of the Convention on Climate Change (CCC), al-Bawaba News reported. Ahmed Abu el-Soud, Head of the Ministry's Executive Commission, said his country is committed to the formerly-agreed upon terms of the framework treaty which determines the responsibilities of each country towards gas emissions that lead to global warming. "We want every country, whether developing or advanced, to shoulder their previously-determined responsibilities," he said. Advanced countries have been blamed for the phenomenon of global warming due their growing gas emissions. Egypt's Minister of Environment, Khaled Fahmy will participate in the next climate change conference to be held in December in Paris. On July 15, Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab issued a decision to form a national council on climate change, headed by the Minister of Environment.
