President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Saturday French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius in Cairo, in the presence of Egypt's Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry and France's ambassador in Cairo André Parant, Al Bawaba News reported. The French minister praised the Egyptian-French cooperation in the military, energy, transport, education and culture fields. Fabius added that his country keen to boost the bilateral relations with Egypt, confirming that the French president, Francois Hollande will participate the opening ceremony of the new Suez Canal on August 6. For his part, Sisi stressed that Egypt welcomes the participation of the French President in the opening ceremony of the News Suez canal, adding that Egypt seeks to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries in the political and economic fields. Sisi discussed with Fabius several regional and international issues, especially the crisis in Syria and Libya. The President stressed on the importance of confronting terrorist groups that threaten the security and stability of Libya. Sisi pointed out that money and arms supply to the terrorist group in Libya must be stopped, as well as supporting a political solution and the United Nations special envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon in order to solve its crisis.
