The Egyptian authorities give priority to the Palestinian issue in its foreign agenda, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said during his meeting with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum currently held in Jordan. According to Youm7, the President stressed that the Palestinian cause will remain a top priority for Egypt despite the full international and regional agenda. Sisi said that Egypt would resume its support for the Palestinians' right to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders. The Palestinian President briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the recent developments in both the West Bank and Gaza, in addition to the repercussions of his recent contacts with different regional and international powers.
