Egyptian courts will consider Tuesday several cases involving Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members charged with terror-related offenses, according to Al Bawaba News. Giza Criminal Court will try five MB members accused of forming a terrorist cell and dubbed "Ultras Raba'awy" or the ultras of the Rabaa sit-in. Prosecution charged the defendants with assault of public and private properties. Cairo Criminal Court will resume the trial of 47 MB defendants for storming Al Tebbin police station following the dispersal of the Rabaa and Nahda sit-ins in 2013. The defendants face charges of thuggery, attempted murder of policemen, facilitating the breakout of detainees and joining a terrorist group, namely the MB. Minya Criminal Court sentenced 11 MB members to prison terms ranging from 1 to 3 years, and dropped the charges on 4 others, for protesting without prior authorization and joining the outlawed MB. The court fined one defendant EGP 100,000.
