Sohag Criminal Court sentenced Thursday 22 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members to 10 years in prison, 29 co-defendants to five years, and nine others to three years over accusations of riots committed in 2013 while dropped all charges against seven others, according to Youm7 news. The defendants are accused of committing violent actions, sabotaging public and private properties, joining a terrorist group, crowding, possessing unlicensed weapons. The incident dates back to July 6, 2013, when pro-Morsi supporters set fire to the Sohag governorate Headquarters in Upper Egypt and assaulted police personnel along with anti-Morsi citizens.
