Iraqi forces supported by US-led international coalition killed 60 Islamic State (IS) militants in Anbar, west of Baghdad, Al Bawaba news reported on Sunday. Intensive operations are taking place Sunday in Al Karma district, west of Anbar and its surroundings leaving 44 IS militants killed including 3 snipers, Iraqi sources said. The operations also defused 43 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and destroying 13 terrorist hotbeds. The source added the federal security and the Popular Mobilization Forces participated in the raid over IS militias. Anbar province has become the terrorist group's stronghold since April 2014.
