Egypt's Popular Socialist Alliance (PSA) party leading figure, Moataz Al Shennawy slammed Al Wafd party's proposal to get the parliamentary elections adjourned for 6 months, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. " I am extremely disappointed at Al-Wafd's call as well as the negative outcomes of the dialogue sessions the government held with political parties," Al Shennawy added. The PSA heavyweight voiced concerns Al-Wafd's call may be a waste of time, indicating his party may suspend participation in the upcoming elections. Parliamentary elections come as the last step in Egypt's road map declared after former president Mohamed Morsi was ousted July 2013. Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlad stated earlier in April the polls will commence after the holy month of Ramadan ( scheduled for June 18).
