Delegation of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, headed by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Faraj, Head of the Academy, visited the project of the new Suez Canal, accompanied by a large number of faculty members, staff and students of the Arab Academy, according to al-Bawabh News today. Vice Admiral, Mohab Mamish, Chairman of the Suez Canal delegation welcomed the delegation and they watched documentary about Suez Canal, in addition to detailed presentation about the new project. The delegation also visited the site of the project at the headquarters of the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia governorate. In the meantime, Mamish, who was named Person of the Year by the International Maritime Organization, and expressed appreciation of the Arab Academy visit. He added that the project is the hope of Egypt, and currently employs 25 thousand Egyptians with no foreigners, stressing that the implementation of the project is a result of thought and planning as Egypt needs national giant economic projects to support the country's economy. He added that the project will benefit future generations of Egyptians, by establishing logistics areas that will provide job opportunities for the youth of Egypt. Mamish pointed out that all the workers of the project are aware of the size of responsibility, as the instructions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is to complete this project in specific time, which made us work 24 hours in order to finish of the project in the scheduled time. Head of the academy said that the Suez Canal represents will of Egyptians and a symbol of every Egyptian, pointing out that the documentary brought them back the memory of historical events experienced by the country. He added that the new project represents Egyptian dream and thanked Head of the Suez Canal Authority for the warm reception and for leading the team that works daily nonstop knowing how important the project.
