Deodorant: To prevent sweat stains and body odour, mix baking soda with a little bit of water to turn it into a moist paste, then apply under the arms as an all-natural deodorant. Clarifying shampoo: Add a small amount of baking soda into your shampoo and use as normal. It will clean out that buildup and all your products will work the way they are supposed to again. Teeth whitening: Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and five drops of hydrogen peroxide in a small container until a consistent paste develops, add a few drops of water only if necessary. Apply the solution to your teeth evenly with a toothbrush, and allow it to stay on the teeth for five minutes. Brush off with normal toothpaste and rinse thoroughly with water. For consistent results, repeat this process once every week. You may leave the mixture on for 10 minutes at a time, but no more, because you may get an uneven application and your teeth may get sensitive. Cuticle mercy: Create a paste out of baking soda and warm water and rub on your cuticles. If you have enough, also treat your hands to a bit of a softening facial with the same mixture. Blackheads: A teaspoon of baking soda mixed with a cup of distilled water makes an excellent solution for blackheads. It helps draw out the blackheads and makes extractions come out very easily. Detox bath: To make a detox bath, mix baking soda with equal parts sea salt and add your favourite essential oil. Lavender and jasmine are very calming. Exfoliant: Baking soda works as an all-natural instant dead skin remover. To make the exfoliant, mix a little baking soda with some water in your palm and scrub it all over your face to enjoy radiant skin. Dry shampoo: If you are out of shampoo or are on the run, sprinkle a dime-sized amount (or less, depending on how oily you are) onto your hair. You can always add more, but you don't want to use too much off the bat. Then, just comb, fluff, and enjoy.
