President Mohamed Morsi is currently in a meeting with Hisham Kandil, Egypt's newly appointed prime minister. He will hold a press conference after the meeting.
Kandil was appointed by the president on Tuesday morning after weeks of speculation.
He was minister of irrigation and water resources in the interim government of Kamal El-Ganzouri.
