Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” resumes training with Ajax Amsterdam, after missing two days due to flu. The 27-year-old forward joined Tuesday's training session. He appeared fit and enthusiastic in spite of sickness, Dutch media reported. The pharaoh's forward is eager to break through the starting XI against AZ Alkmaar, in the Dutch Cup, as teammates Luis Suarez and Mounir El Hamdaoui will miss the match. Morocco star El Hamdaoui is sick too, while Uruguayan striker Suarez is serving a seven-match ban after biting PSV's Otman Bakkal during a league game. He will not be able to play until 4 February. The Egyptian star has returned to Ajax after spending seven years moving around Europe, playing for Marseille (Fra), AS Roma (Ita), Celta Vigo (Spa), Tottenham, Wigan, West Ham and Middlesbrough (Eng).Mido has only scored three goals for Ajax this season as he warmed the pinch in most of the Dutch giants' games.
